API credits live on one account. You can't move them to a teammate, you can't take them to another project, and you can't sell the part you won't use. Some providers let them expire.

How it works

  1. 01

    Buy.

    Pay 1 USDC, receive 1 credit. Or pay with any token in your wallet: it's swapped to USDC in the same transaction. The USDC stays in an onchain reserve until that credit is spent.

  2. 02

    Spend.

    Deposit credits to your API balance, create a key, and point the Anthropic or OpenAI SDK at Unspent. Every request reserves its worst-case cost onchain, then burns only what it actually used.

  3. 03

    Keep, send, or sell.

    Withdraw what you didn't use. It's a standard SPL token: hold it, send it to someone, or sell it on a DEX.

The USDC from every purchase sits in the program's reserve. It leaves the reserve when a credit is burned for inference. Every request is settled onchain, and anyone can check it on Solana.

Withdraw any time.

Your API balance sits in a program vault, not in our wallet. Anything not held for a running request is yours to withdraw instantly, no approval needed. If a request stalls, its hold can be released by anyone after an hour. If Unspent ever shuts down, every credit can be redeemed for 1 USDC from the reserve.

FAQ

Do credits expire?

No. A credit is a token in your wallet. It stays there until you spend it, send it, or sell it.

Can I get USDC back from Unspent?

Not while the service runs: credits are sold for inference. To exit, sell them on a DEX or send them to someone who needs inference. If Unspent shuts down, every credit becomes redeemable for 1 USDC from the reserve.

Which models can I use?

Claude models. The current list and prices are on this page and at /v1/models.

Is every request onchain?

Yes. Each request reserves its maximum cost in the program before the model runs and settles the metered cost after. Both transactions are public on Solana.

Do you store my prompts?

No. We keep request metadata for billing: time, model, token counts and cost. Prompts and responses pass through and are not stored. The amount and time of each request are public onchain.

What does a request cost?

Tokens times the model's price. A Sonnet 5.5 request with 2,000 input tokens and 500 output tokens costs 0.01035 credits.

What do I need to start?

A Solana wallet with USDC or any token you can swap, and a little SOL for network fees.
